Ghana Develops a New Financial Inclusion Strategy for 2027–2031

On 5 November, Ghana inaugurated the development process for its second National Financial Inclusion and Development Strategy, covering 2027–2031, with a planned launch in the first half of 2027. The World Bank’s Global Findex 2025 data cited at the event showed that 80% of Ghanaian adults had a financial account, while a 2021 survey found only 22% were financially healthy. No programme budget was disclosed. Banks, insurers, fintech firms and financial advisers can explore opportunities in savings, insurance and responsible finance. HPC can support institutional partnerships and financial-sector business development.
